Congrats to the Mountain Ridge Hockey Team! They were victorious in the Championship Game by a commanding style, out scoring Bountiful 5 to 1.
Jack Rose scored the first goal of the game, with the assist coming from Jaxon Smith in the 1st Period of the game. Bountiful scored the only goal in the 2nd Period, tying up the score at one apiece.
Mountain Ridge came alive in the 3rd Period. Porter Roberts scored a breakaway goal, juking out the Bountiful goalie, scoring our 2nd goal, and breaking the tie. JT Rigby scored the 3rd goal, with assists by Jack Rose and Jason Dietrick. Minutes later, JT Rigby also scored the 4th goal with an assist from Jason Dietrick. Wil Christensen, with an assist from Korbin McKane, scored Mountain Ridge's 5th and final goal of the game.
Cassius LeJuene had several clutch saves and excellent blocks, allowing only one goal against Mountain Ridge the entire night.
The entire team played their guts out, skating hard and relying on teamwork to clutch the championship trophy.
