Sentinel News Brings Home 3 Best in State Awards!!

Last week, Sentinel News had the opportunity to attend the 2023 Utah High School Future of Journalism Awards held by the Utah College Media Alliance. While there, our stupendous crew was recognized for their hard work this year and brought home three Best in State awards in addition to sweeping the entire 6A/5A/4A category of Best Opinion Video!

2nd PLACE: BEST OPINION VIDEO: Cole Welch, Spencer White: "Hot Takes: Snow Days or Virtual Learning Days"
3rd PLACE: BEST OPINION VIDEO: Nate Nogueira, Kade Lee, and Staff: "Nate in the Halls: Episode 1
2nd PLACE: BEST NEWS VIDEO: Thayne Ward and Staff: "The Mountain Ridge Morning Show
3rd PLACE: BEST NEWS VIDEO: Teagan Smart, Ebba Naessen, and Kamila Clark: "The Green Earth Club"
 
We'd also like to add an amendment to our UHSFF Award Winners and bring attention to another Official Selection for the festival. There was an error in communication and we apologize for not including it in our previous announcement.
