REWRITING THE WAY WE SEE EACH OTHER: THE HUMANS OF HERRIMAN PROJECT

In a city of over 55,000 people, it’s easy to become a face in the crowd. As Herriman has grown, the "small-town" personal connection that once defined us has faced the challenge of rapid expansion. Three Mountain Ridge students—Sadie Miles, Kennedy Haymond, and Angeles Acosta—set out to solve this by rewriting the way we see each other.

By spearheading the "Humans of Herriman" initiative, these leaders managed a team of 37 student historians to capture the heartbeat of our city. Through 60 deep-dive interviews, they have woven a new narrative of connection that bridges the gap between Herriman’s past and its bustling future.

Join the Book Launch & Gallery Walk: We invite you to experience these stories firsthand. Come celebrate these incredible student leaders and the neighbors who make our city home.

  • When: January 28th | 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

  • Where: Herriman City Hall (5355 West Main Street)

  • Details: Gallery walk of stories and treats provided.

Following the celebration, Sadie, Kennedy, and Angeles will present the published book to the Herriman City Council to be archived in our city’s official history.
