SENTINELS GO GLOBAL: NHS PARTNERS WITH JAMAICA RED CROSS FOR HURRICANE RELIEF

At Mountain Ridge, our mission of service extends far beyond our local community. Starting Monday, February 2nd, the National Honor Society (NHS), in partnership with the Jamaica Red Cross, will host a month-long donation drive to support elementary schools in Jamaica as they rebuild following recent hurricane devastation.

How You Can Help: We are collecting new and unopened supplies to ensure Jamaican students have the tools they need to return to the classroom.

Drop-off Location: 📍 The Media Center (Collection begins Monday, Feb 2nd)

Supplies Needed (New & Unopened):

  • Essentials: Backpacks, pencils, pens, paper, notebooks, and rulers.

  • Art & Classroom: Crayons, markers, chalk, highlighters, glue, scissors, erasers, and classroom decorations.

  • Reading: New or gently used books (must be in like-new condition).

Student Recognition: Donations qualify for NHS Service Hours or hours toward the Sentinel Service Award! Stay tuned for specific hour-conversion details.

Let’s show the world the power of the Sentinel spirit. Whatever it takes—for every student, everywhere.
