Mountain Ridge High School is pleased to offer the ACT college entrance exam free of charge to our Junior students. This is a critical step in the college application process, and we want every student prepared for success.
THE ESSENTIALS:
DATE: Tuesday, March 10
TIME: 7:30 AM (Late arrivals will not be admitted)
LOCATION: Assigned testing rooms will be posted by the Attendance Office by March 6

NO SCHOOL: There will be no school for Sophomores or Seniors, and no JATC classes.

CHROMEBOOK READINESS: The ACT will be completed online using JSD-issued Chromebooks only. Personal laptops or iPads cannot be used.

Repair Deadline: If your Chromebook has issues (battery, keys, screen), take it to the library by Friday, February 27.

Test Day: You must bring your Chromebook FULLY CHARGED.

PREREGISTRATION: Juniors will receive a packet in Language Arts class the week of March 2. You will select up to four colleges to receive your scores. If you miss class, you must complete this at home by March 12.

🚫 PROHIBITED: Cell phones, smartwatches, and fitness bands are not permitted in the testing area. We highly recommend leaving them at home.

11:40 AM: Buses depart (Regular routes)
Note: Students with extended time must arrange their own transportation home.
