Have you ever had a teacher who changed your life? Now is your chance to learn how to be that person for someone else. Mountain Ridge High School is excited to highlight our Concurrent Enrollment (CE) Education Pathway in partnership with Salt Lake Community College.
Available to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, these semester-long courses offer a deep dive into the world of education:
Semester 1: EDU 1010 (Intro to Teaching) Explore the rewards, history, and philosophies of teaching. This course prepares you for acceptance into a professional teacher education program and looks at the legal and social issues of the modern classroom.
Semester 2: EDU 2140 (Lesson Design) Move from the desk to the whiteboard. Learn the art of creating engaging, impactful lessons that inspire students.
While you can take just one, we highly recommend taking both to get the full experience. You’ll earn college credit through SLCC, save on future tuition, and gain a massive head start on your career.
