As we prepare for Sophomore Orientation, we want to highlight one of the most vibrant programs on campus: Mountain Ridge Ballroom. Led by the talented Mrs. Orton, our ballroom classes offer students a unique way to stay active, build community, and express their creativity.
Whether you are looking to learn the basics or compete at an elite level, we have a spot for you on the floor!
COURSE HIGHLIGHTS:

Ballroom 1 & 2: These are semester-long introductory courses held during 6th Period. They are perfect for students who want to learn the fundamentals of various dance styles in a fun, social environment.

Competitive Girls Ballroom Team: This is a full-year, 7th-period course for students ready to take their skills to the competition stage.

Note: Auditions for this team are held shortly after Sophomore Orientation!

THE BEST PART? All of Mrs. Orton’s ballroom classes can count toward your Art OR Physical Education (PE) credit requirements. It’s the perfect way to "dance" your way through your graduation checklist!
