SENTINELS TAKE ON ATLANTA: DECA SUCCESS AT ICDC

This past week, our DECA chapter traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, to compete in the International Career Development Conference (ICDC). Among tens of thousands of members from across the globe, our Sentinels stood tall, proving that the business skills honed here at Mountain Ridge are truly world-class.

We want to extend a massive shout-out to Lacey Nielson. Competing in the Principles of Marketing event—a rigorous category covering marketing research, professional selling, and management—Lacey excelled through the preliminary rounds to become an International Finalist.

By reaching the final stage, Lacey competed for the prestigious "DECA Glass," placing her in the top 20 students in the world for her event. This is an elite achievement that speaks to her dedication, professionalism, and sharp business acumen.

Our business clubs like DECA are more than just extracurriculars; they are professional incubators. Through role-plays and real-world simulations, students practice the communication and strategic thinking skills that will define their future careers. We are incredibly proud of Lacey and the entire chapter for representing Mountain Ridge on the international stage!
