SENIOR ALERT: START YOUR DATA BACKUP TODAY

The finish line is here, Class of 2026! While Chromebook turn-in doesn't happen until Tuesday, May 26th, we are urging all seniors to start backing up your files right now.

Because Google Takeout is not available, saving your four-year legacy requires a manual effort. Moving files to a personal cloud or USB drive can take longer than you think—don't get caught on the 26th with a device you have to turn in and files you haven't saved.

The "Start Now" Checklist:

  • Manual Backup: Start moving your essays, projects, and portfolios to a personal USB or a personal cloud account (Dropbox, OneDrive, or a personal Gmail) today.

  • Final Turn-in Day: Tuesday, May 26th. (We still have one more Tuesday before then, but that is the final deadline!)

  • Early Drop-off: If you finish your work early, you can return your device and charger to the library starting Friday, May 22nd.

CRITICAL: The Blue Asset Tag While you are required to remove all personal stickers and name tags, DO NOT REMOVE THE BLUE ASSET TAG located on the bottom of the Chromebook. This tag is vital for our inventory system. If this tag is missing at the time of return, there will be a $5.00 charge added to your account.

On Tuesday the 26th, remember:

  1. Device must be fully charged.

  2. All personal stickers removed (leaving only that blue tag!).

  3. Charger cord wrapped neatly with the barcode visible.
