Mountain Ridge High School is proud to host Heritage Week from October 5 to October 9, organized by our dynamic student leaders in Latinos in Action (LIA).
Celebrating All Cultures
Held in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15), Heritage Week aims to celebrate LIA’s roots while simultaneously creating an inclusive platform that highlights and honors aspects of all cultures across our Sentinel Nation.
This week-long initiative focuses on fostering empathy, understanding, and unity by exploring the diverse aspects—from Language and Music to Food and Traditions—that uniquely contribute to the rich tapestry of our school community.
Daily Themes, Dress-Up Days, and Lunch Activities
Heritage Week features specialized daily programming designed to engage the entire student body. Dress-up days allow students to show their school spirit and cultural pride, while activities scheduled during BOTH lunches will immerse Sentinels in the daily cultural focus. Free treats and prizes will be available throughout the week to encourage participation.
