Merry Christmas Everyone!
We as a PTSA feel so lucky to belong to the magnificent school community and are so impressed with how the administration, teachers, staff and students have made Mountain Ridge such a great place to be every weekday.
We are looking to put together a student involved PTSA and will be having a meeting regarding this next Wednesday, December 18th from 2:40-3:10 pm in the media center to officially meet one another and to start planning ribbon week, teacher appreciation week, battle of the bands and a couple of other surprises that we have up our sleeves. We would love to have a big group of students involved so please have your students plan on attending (it will also count for volunteer service hours for NHS). Ribbon week is coming up the end of January and we would like to have the input of the students on what they would like to do so have them be thinking about it this week and what they would like it to involve.
With Christmas coming up we are offering another opportunity to purchase our spirit gear. We have an online store that they can order from or we will be selling it before the boys basketball game on the 20th from 6-7 pm. We have great prices and incredibly soft hoodies and jackets up for grabs. We will also be bundling a hoodie, t-shirt and key chain for $40 but supplies are limited to what we have on hand.
Hoodies, T-Shirts....get your Mountain Ridge gear for the perfect Christmas gift! Your Sentinel student or family member will love it! Go to link/Google Doc to order!…
Lastly, we are looking for a parent to plan and be in charge of our Ribbon Week ----- January 27-31st. Email email@example.com if you would like to help us out with this.
Please friend us on facebook at Mountain Ridge PTSA and Instagram at MRHSPTSA.
We are posting bi-weekly questions to start building a sense of community and show support for our students by picking some of the answers and posting them on the screens in the commons area.
Battle of the Bands is on February 28th and we would love to hear our local student bands perform so start planning your playlist now. Each band will be performing two songs --- one cover song and one original song and at least one of them has to have lyrics. Think you can't play? If you learned the recorder in the 4th grade start practicing what you already learning and then take the next about 2 months to make up your own (think outside the box on this one and have fun)
Have a wonderful holiday season and mark your calendars for the next PTSA meeting coming up on January 8th at 1:15pm.
