Every season at Mountain Ridge brings new stories of courage, connection, and growth. In October, our Students of the Month stepped forward as quiet leaders and caring friends, showing us the true meaning of belonging. Their actions, both big and small, help build a school where everyone can thrive.

Auditions for the winter season of color guard are today and tomorrow! Also, if you have elementary and junior high age students, auditions for our junior programs are next week. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.

Congratulations to our November Students of the Month!

Yesterday we competed at the Weber State University Autotech Competition at WSU. My team consisted of Brayden Amott, Ashton Atkin, Luke Kruckenberg and Ryker Goff. The first round of the contest consisted of table top stations and general automotive knowledge assessments. The top 2 students from the top 10 schools teamed up to move on to the hands on portion of the competition, and the top performers from the remaining schools were teamed with a student from another school for the alternate contest in the same hands on format. The Hands on portion consisted of a general vehicle inspection, diagnostics and the ability to follow and write a repair order documenting any problems found and repairs that were made to correct the vehicle. Ashton moved on to the alternate round finishing 2nd in that contest with his teammate from Copper Hills. Ashton won some tools and various other prizes. It was a long exhausting day but I am proud of these guys for their commitment and representing the Ridge!

Some recognitions are more than a moment—they are a reflection of years of dedication, resilience, and growth. This November, we proudly honor Lydia James and Gabriel Mercer as our Sentinels of the Month. Selected by their counselor and endorsed by teachers, Lydia and Gabriel represent the summit of what it means to be Sentinel STRONG—excelling in academics, forging character, and modeling growth through every challenge.

Every month, the Mountain Ridge story grows richer—written by students who show kindness, demonstrate grit, and help all of us belong. Our November Students of the Month are shining examples of what it means to be Sentinel STRONG. Chosen by their teachers for making a meaningful impact, these students have each contributed to our community in ways that lift, inspire, and unite.

After eight weeks of competitive, round-robin match play, THREE of our Sentinel Esports teams have officially qualified for the Playoff Tournament Bracket — placing them among the top competitors in the state.
